Stress & Overwhelm Therapy
When everything feels like too much
There are times when life can feel relentless.
Work, relationships, family, responsibilities and everyday pressures can gradually build until you feel like you're constantly trying to keep up.
You might struggle to switch off, feel exhausted even when you've rested, become more irritable than usual or find that small things suddenly feel overwhelming.
Sometimes we become so used to functioning under pressure that we don't realise just how much we're carrying.
Understanding your stress
Therapy can give you somewhere to pause.
My approach is person-centred, meaning we'll work together to understand what you're experiencing and what might be contributing to it, without judgement.
We can explore the pressures you're facing, how you respond to them and whether there are patterns that keep you feeling overwhelmed.
You don't have to wait until you reach breaking point before asking for support.
When stress becomes exhaustion
Long periods of stress can affect your mood, confidence, relationships and ability to enjoy everyday life.
You may feel that you're always doing something for someone else and rarely have space to think about what you actually need.
Therapy can provide that space.
Together, we can explore boundaries, self-esteem, expectations, relationships and the ways you may have learned to cope with pressure.
Where appropriate, I may also draw from other therapeutic approaches and frameworks when stress is connected to anxiety, trauma or difficult past experiences.
A space to slow down
You don't need to arrive with a plan.
You can simply begin by talking about what life feels like for you right now.
I offer online therapy to clients across the UK, with in-person therapy available in Berkshire.
