Self-Esteem & Confidence Therapy
When you don't feel good enough
The way we see ourselves can influence almost every part of our lives.
You might constantly question yourself, compare yourself to others, worry about what people think or feel that you're never quite doing enough.
Perhaps you find it difficult to accept compliments, set boundaries or put your own needs first. You may appear confident on the outside while privately struggling with self-doubt.
Understanding where these feelings come from
Low self-esteem rarely appears out of nowhere.
Our experiences, relationships and the messages we've received throughout our lives can all influence how we see ourselves.
Therapy can give you space to explore these experiences and begin to understand the beliefs and patterns that may have developed around them.
My approach is person-centred, which means there is no judgement and no expectation that you need to change who you are to be worthy of support.
Building a different relationship with yourself
Therapy isn't about becoming a completely different person.
It can be about developing a kinder and more accepting relationship with yourself, understanding your needs and becoming more comfortable taking up space in your own life.
We can explore self-worth, boundaries, people-pleasing, perfectionism, relationships and the inner critic, at a pace that feels right for you.
You don't have to keep pretending you're confident
Sometimes the hardest part is admitting that you don't feel as confident as you appear.
Having somewhere safe to be honest about that can be the beginning of something different.
I offer online therapy to clients across the UK, with in-person therapy available in Berkshire.
