Depression Therapy

When everything starts to feel harder

Depression can affect the way you see yourself, your relationships and the world around you. Sometimes it can feel like sadness, but it can also show up as emptiness, numbness, exhaustion, irritability or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and the people around you.

You may be struggling to find motivation, losing interest in things you once enjoyed, or feeling as though you're just getting through each day.

You don't have to have a clear explanation for how you're feeling before reaching out for support.

Understanding what you're experiencing

Therapy offers a confidential space where you can talk openly about what is happening without having to put on a brave face.

My approach is person-centred, meaning that I see you as an individual rather than a diagnosis. Together, we can explore what you're experiencing, what may have contributed to it and what you need to begin moving forward.

There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you need. We can start wherever you are.

Feeling stuck, disconnected or overwhelmed

Depression can sometimes affect your confidence and self-esteem, leaving you questioning your worth or feeling disconnected from the person you used to be.

It can also develop alongside anxiety, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma or significant changes in your life.

Therapy can give you space to understand these experiences and begin to reconnect with yourself, your feelings and what matters to you.

Where appropriate, I may draw from other therapeutic approaches and frameworks alongside person-centred therapy, particularly when experiences of trauma are part of what you're working through.

A space without judgement

I know that asking for help can feel vulnerable. You may have become very good at appearing as though everything is fine while feeling very different underneath.

You don't need to minimise what you're going through or compare your experience to anyone else's.

Therapy is a space where you can be honest about how things really feel.

I offer online therapy to clients across the UK, with in-person therapy available in Berkshire.
